About
Located in Manassas, Virginia, the Gabalski Piano Studio provides an environment where students are encouraged to explore the world of music. As a music teacher trained in Suzuki Books 1-4, Mr. Gabalski specializes in working with beginning students.
The Suzuki Method
The Suzuki Method works on the principle that all children can learn music through the same process they learn their mother tongue language. With this approach, children can develop their abilities during the early absorbing and sensitive years far beyond what most people previously imagined.

Piano Lessons
Lessons are taught in a home setting. Beginning students typically take lessons that are 30 minutes in length and attend one lesson per week. More advanced players will have either a 45-minute or 60-minute lesson. Students are provided recital and masterclass opportunities throughout the year. Parents are expected to attend lessons.

Joseph Gabalski has been connected with music making since an early age. He held his first organist position at the age of 15 and was appointed to a position of director at the age of 18. Since 2000, he has held posts at Grace United Methodist Church, St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, and Aldersgate United Methodist Church. He currently holds the position as Music Director at Busch Hill Presbyterian Church.

Mr. Gabalski holds two bachelors degrees from the State University of New York at Buffalo, in Music Performance and Legal Studies. After serving as the Director of Music at the Orchard Park Presbyterian Church in Western New York, he was accepted to the Cleveland Institute of Music where he earned a Masters Degree in Organ Performance, studying with Todd Wilson. While he attended CIM, Mr. Gabalski was the Director of Music at the Church of the Western Reserve in Pepper Pike, Ohio.
Moving into the field of education as a choral teacher, Mr. Gabalski's choirs consistently received superior ratings, and in 2000 he received perfect scores at the Festival of Music competition at Busch Gardens Williamsburg with the Odyssey High School Choir. Church youth choirs under his direction have toured throughout the United States and Europe.

A committed teacher and performer, Mr. Gabalski's students are heard in recitals throughout each year, with some accompanying instrumentalists from other studios. During the day, he serves as an administrator with the Prince William County Public Schools at Independence Nontraditional School.
